Fred Stevens
Rotorua Candidate
Fred Stevens is the Libertarianz party candidate for Rotorua.
Fred was born in Holland in 1958 and emigrated to New Zealand with his parents and two younger brothers in 1963.
He grew up in Tokoroa and went on to study science and architecture at university achieving degrees in science, building science and an honours degree in architecture.
He lives at Lake Tarawera with his partner and two teenage children and practices architecture from their award winning home that he has created and is still working on twenty years after its conception.
Fred has been actively involved in protecting the unique Tarawera Lakes landscape. He is an independent and free thinker who throughout the course of his life and work, and environmental involvement has realized that the more a government meddles in peoples lives the worse the problems become.
Fred is standing as the Libertarianz candidate for the Rotorua electorate because he is concerned at the government’s interference in people’s lives and the resultant erosion of personal freedom, responsibility and accountability. He is sick and tired of bureaucracy, mediocrity and political correctness and believes that “Nanny” state is the enemy of diversity, independent thought and initiative.
Libertarianz is the only party that believes 100% in the right of New Zealanders to live their lives as they see fit and their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of property and happiness, with the only legitimate role of government being to protect New Zealanders from those who would stop them doing so.
A vote for Fred Stevens is a vote for fundamental change, freedom and common sense.
